What type of comedy is it? All the comics come from the comedy circuit that was first pioneered in the early 80's - don't expect any 'mother-in-law’ or racist material. On the other hand, comedy has come along way from the political alternative comedy scene of the late 80's, so don't expect wry political satire. Best way to describe today's comics is observationalist - if you like the ramblings of Jasper Carrott etc. - you love today's breed of comedians. Will there be any swearing? Yes, all three comics will talk about adult related material during part of their set - and with it will come the odd expletive or two. Hence why, like most comedy clubs around the country, we have a minimum entry age of 18 to see our shows. Will I get picked on if I sit at the front? Possibly, but knowing some of the comics tonight - the safest place is the front row. So if you are in rows B to L - think of it as a game of comedy Russian roulette! So can I heckle? You can try if you want. Not the cleverest idea though. These comics will eat any heckler for breakfast and the last thing you want is the comics undivided attention on you! Many non regular comedy goers actually think that heckling is part of the show, actually it's not and often it’s the rest of the audience who get annoyed by the heckler's constant interruptions. Remember they have paid to listen to the comics - not you. Also remember that the guys and girls on stage are actually giving a performance - you wouldn't shout out half way through 'Mid Summer Nights Dream ‘Oi Bottom, you fat %£$ard.‘ So that 99% of the audience's wishes are met, any person who interrupts the show with constant heckling will be asked to leave. Is heckling the same as joining in? No - they are different. Hecklers ruin a show - audience members who join in with the comics, say for instance, being asked to stamp their feet or being asked on stage etc. - make a show.
